March 29, 2016

The 2016 recipients were announced at Healthcare Georgia Foundation's Connections 2016 Conference: Building a Healthier Georgia Through Community Partnerships at the Intercontinental Hotel. Five individuals and one collaborative (P3) were selected for their work in advancing the health of Georgians and recognized during an awards ceremony at the Foundation's seventh statewide convening of grantees, partners, and community leaders. "We are honored to have the opportunity to recognize the selfless and tireless efforts of these often unsung health heroes," said Gary Nelson, president, Healthcare Georgia Foundation. "The impact of their passion, leadership, and commitment to improving the health of their communities is remarkable, and their volunteer service inspires countless others to do the same."

P3, spearheaded by GCAPP five years ago, is a collaborative group of agencies and organizations from across sectors that are committed to reducing teen pregnancy and teen births in Georgia.
