From the creative minds of our 2023 Youth Advisory Council cohort, we are thrilled to unveil the remarkable initiatives our young leaders have crafted to enhance the well-being of their communities and pave the way for a brighter collective future.

Guided by the visionary individuals of our Youth Advisory Council (YAC), our Youth Action Teams, led by dynamic youth leaders across Georgia, are making waves from promoting Menstrual Equity in Ben Hill and raising awareness about the Dangers of Distracted Driving in Bibb to spearheading Leadership Programs for Low-Income Students in Gwinnett and offering an accessible Financial Aid Crash Course in DeKalb. Our YAC members are not only tackling critical issues but are also actively involved in expanding comprehensive sex education in their home communities. Each youth leader has crafted a strategic 30-60-90-day plan, assembled a team of five fellow youth and one adult ally, and engaged with a GCAPP representative to ensure the longevity and success of their Youth Action Plan. This youth-driven transformation embodies the essence of empowering change from within, showcasing a commitment to addressing critical issues and making a lasting impact to the community.
